This day I give thanks to You, Father, for the gift of Your son, Jesus, to me. May my life be a gift to Him in exchange for His love to me. Amen.

Here’s my entry for this week’s photo challenge. This is my interpretation of geometry: parallel lines. This was taken during our All Saints Procession and I chanced upon an airplane flying across the sky.

Prayer Before The Crucifix

BEHOLD, O good and sweetest Jesus,
I cast myself upon my knees in Thy sight,
and with the most fervent desire of my soul
I pray and beseech Thee

to impress upon my heart
lively sentiments of faith,
hope and charity,
with true repentance for my sins
and a most firm desire of amendment:
whilst with deep affection and grief of soul
I consider within myself
and mentally contemplate Thy five most precious Wounds,
having before mine eyes that which David, the prophet,
long ago spoke in Thine own person concerning Thee,
my Jesus: “They have pierced My hands and My feet,
they have numbered all My bones.”

Our Tourist Guides

One of the most memorable trips that I had is when I went to El Nido, Palawan with my friend for a five-day R&R. After the five-hour trip from Puerto Princesa, my friend and I went for a quick shower and off we went to explore the beautiful islands of El Nido. By the way, if you saw The Bourne Legacy, the last frame of the movie is shot in El Nido. So, in El Nido, aside from fishing, touring the guests in the island is one of the sources of living of the people there. There are 5 different tours which the guests can avail of. In our case, we availed 4 of the 5 island tours because of the lack of time. Unlike Boracay where there is a nightlife, El Nido at night is quiet and laid-back. This is a perfect getaway for newly-weds looking for adventure. Hopefully, when I return to El Nido I am already with my significant other. Meanwhile, my next itinerary is in Coron, another  popular Palawan Island. By the way, I also arrange tours to Palawan, just leave me a note in the comments box if you have plans of visiting the El Nido.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Free Spirit

Yesterday, I covered the Talent Night of our church community’s search for Ginang Pacita (Mrs. Pacita) which is one of the major events of our community’s annual fiesta celebration. The candidates, despite their age and figure showcased their talents which have been kept for such a long time. These event let out their radical side, their free-spirits. I honor them for sharing their talents to our community.

I also honor their families and friends who did not just watch the show but also participated in the event by dancing and singing with their candidate-mom/grandma/friend/organization co-member.

The winner of the Talent search shall be announced on the Grand Coronation night, October 6, 2012.
