Today, Mom made a banana ala mode as our afternoon snack as the Philippines celebrates a 4-day holiday to honor our dearly departed loved ones. Since my relatives who have gone to heaven are laid to rest in our province, I just offer mass intentions and light candles in their remembrance.

Presenting my first ever baked creation – my banana bread with mixed nuts. I’ve been thinking about doing a banana bread, not only because it’s my favorite but in my opinion is the easiest to bake. Thus, a couple of days ago, I went to the supermarket to do some ingredients shopping and started mashing and mixing together the ingredients 🙂 the following morning Mom brought the mixture in our neighborhood panaderia (bakeshop) and bake over wood-fire oven. The finish product is a success! Friends who tasted it were all praises (buti naman!). I’m gonna try another banana bread recipe and maybe later on bake a carrot cake and the like 🙂
